Company/Brand: Pfizer, Inc.
The Hazard: Pfizer voluntarily recalled
14 lots each of its brand name and generic birth control pills. According to Pzifer, the issue is "some blister packs may contain an inexact count of inert or active ingredient tablets and that the tablets may be out of sequence." While the effected packs don't pose any health risk,
you may not be adequately protected from unintended pregnancy. If you have
one of the effected lots, return them to the pharmacy, inform your doctor and start using another form of non-hormonal birth control, such as condoms. 2.
Excedrin, Bufferin, Gas-X, NoDoz

Product: Excedrin, Bufferin, Gas-X, NoDoz
Company/Brand: Novartis
The Hazard: Novarits issued a voluntary recall of Excedrin and Bufferin saying that certain bottles "may contain stray, broken or chipped tablets from other Novartis products." The company is also recalling NoDoz and Gas-X Prevention as a precaution. The recall includes bottles of Excedrin and NoDoz with expiration dates of Dec. 20, 2014 or earlier, and Gas-X Prevention products with expiration dates of Dec. 20, 2013 or earlier.
